General Information

Bring your family and friends of all ages and skill levels to public skates!  

 

Guests are welcome to use their own skates or rent at Arena Services. We have both hockey and figure skates available on a first come, first served basis. For tips on how to properly tie your skates, watch this video: Skate Tying 101.

 

A limited number of skate trainers are available at no cost for anyone needing assistance skating.

We recommend wearing long sleeves or a coat, pants and gloves. Helmets are recommended for participants ages 8 and younger.

Discount codes can only be used to register for one person per event at at a time. You will be asked to provide proof of identification upon arrival at the arena. 

Skate Rental - $5.00

Skaters are highly encouraged to register and pay for their sessions via their digital DaySmart Account in advance. Doing so will secure their spot and expedite the onsite check-in process. Rentals must be paid onsite.

Rules

For the safety and enjoyment of all skaters, please follow the rules listed below:

  • Be respectful and mindful of those around you while skating. While on the ice, skaters must keep moving in the direction of the flow – do not cut through the center of weave through the other skaters. No tag or chasing games of any kind are permitted.

  • Skates must always be worn on the ice. No street shoes allowed.

  • No carrying anything or anyone (including children) while skating, unless during a medical emergency.

  • No stick or puck play is allowed on the ice during public skates.

  • Respect the ice and the dasher boards. Do not sit on, kick or cause any damage to the boards. No chipping, gouging or kicking holes in the ice.

  • Food and beverages are not permitted on the ice. Feel free to enjoy in the lobby.

  • No talking or texting on cell phones is permitted on the ice.

  • Skating while under the influence of alcohol or other substances is prohibited.

  • Ed Robson Arena staff has the right to refuse admittance or ask a guest to leave without a refund if they have not followed these guidelines.

Register to secure your spot!

If your desired event does not show up for registration in DaySmart, that may mean that the event is full. If your event shows up and you can register and pay for your event, you have a spot.
