JOB REQUIREMENTS
The internship, student, and part-time positions offered at Ed Robson Arena are one of the most flexible job opportunities on campus. You have the ability to input your availability into our scheduling app, Homebase, based on what your class schedule, personal life, and travel allow. All we ask is that you take your position at Robson seriously and understand that your contribution and hard work allows us to keep events running smoothly. While we are flexible with scheduling, you must work consistently and productively. We do ask for all employees to sign a staff commitment document at the beginning of each year that states the following non-negotiable expectations:
-
Front Desk Arena Specialists & Weekly Ice Technicians must work a minimum of one shift a week.
-
Event Arena Specialists & Game Day Ice Technicians must commit to events on month in advance.
-
All groups are required to find someone to cover their assigned shift and are still responsible for that shift if no cover is found barring an emergency, illness, or other serious matters.
-
Expectations:
-
Show up on time and prepared for each shift.
-
Wear appropriate attire (ask questions if you're unsure).
-
Be customer-service oriented.
